Oceanside Magic International's Support Staff and Crew
Conventions don't just "appear" out of thin air. The Producers are extremely grateful to have had an amazing amount of support since OMI was born. The Staff, in addition to the friendly, considerate, and helpful cast, are invaluable in making is convention come together almost by magic. You'll be seeing these fantastic folks again in April!
Andrew Pinard, who in addition to his phenomenal magical skills is also a veteran theatre artist/technician, directed and ran tech/sound/lights for the two Stage Shows in Year One. In 2015, he did all that, plus performed and lectured. Andrew returns to OMI in April, as Show Director.
Dan Sclare, President of the Central CT Magicians Association, acted as Stagehand and Tech Crew for all previous OMIs. His help has been invaluable to the Cape Cod Festival of Magic too, and OMI is fortunate and pleased to have Dan on board again. He'll be back for the next event!
Shawn Phoenix, close-up magician/mentalist from the Salem, MA area, appeared in the Close-Up Show in the 1st annual OMI; not only that, he acted as liaison during previous conventions, helping to guarantee that the performers and producers had what they needed. In addition, Shawn chauffeured performers between the airport and the Cape. Shawn will return in 2017.
Cera Catron provided unparalleled (and much-welcomed!) administrative support, operating the Registration Desk and show ticket booth along with Angelique, and in Angelique's absence, for all of the previous OMIs. Cera will return in April. (Cera's photo courtesy of Kathleen Hughes Photography.)
Bryan Burns, in addition to his performing role in the stage show in 2014, filled the much-needed task of helping to maintain the smooth flow of activity and festivity in the Hospitality Suite--his culinary creations and jovial conversation were a hit with cast, crew, and registrants alike since OMI began! Bryan (along with his partner Cera Catron) will be back in April for the 4th year in a row.
